English Across the Curriculum Conference Exhibition

IAPS is the professional association for independent preparatory schools in the United Kingdom and Overseas. There are 130,000 pupils in over 500 schools of all types and sizes for the 9-13 age range.

This Conference Is designed for Heads of Department and senior staff responsible for all the English Teaching in their prep schools. Although the key age range is 9-13 years of age (Key Stage 2/3) they will also have responsibility for the teaching of the 7-9 groups.

Under the overall title of English Across the Curriculum the session are:

Literacy as a key for unlocking potential across the Curriculum
Managing talk: from authorative to dialogic
Developing active readers
Creating Versatile Writers
Cross-curricular spelling
Managing Literacy across the Curriculum
Management issues: roles and responsibilities
Staff training: building confidence and extending knowledge
Monitoring and evaluating literacy across the curriculum
Marking for literacy

The conference exhibition provides you with the opportunity to reach some 63 of these schools who have representatives at the conference. The exhibition is located immediately outside the Conference Room where registration takes place and teas and coffee are served.

The spending power of these Independent Prep schools is considerable and this event provides an excellent opportunity to make them aware of your latest resources.
